Legacy Insurance Group is an independent agency. That means we don't sell one carrier's product — we compare 15+ carriers and bring you the plan that actually fits your situation. Every product below covers a different life stage and a different problem. There's no "best" one; there's the right one for you today. Most people pick in 5 minutes once they see the options side by side.
Quick version: children's whole life for locking in your child's insurability, term life for the mortgage-and-kids years, IUL for higher earners who already max their 401(k), and burial insurance for seniors who don't want to leave a funeral bill. More below — with live rates you can compare.
Children's Whole Life
Lifelong coverage for your child or grandchild at today's rate. Gerber's plan automatically doubles at age 18 — and the cash value builds over the decades, giving them a head start as adults.
Term Life Insurance
The most coverage for the least money — period. Lock in your rate for 10, 15, 20, or 30 years to cover your mortgage and replace your income during the years your family needs you most. Living benefits included for free at most carriers.
Indexed Universal Life (IUL)
Permanent life insurance with a tax-advantaged cash value account built in. Earns interest tied to the S&P 500 up to a cap — and a 0% floor protects you when the market drops. Best for people who already max their 401(k) or Roth IRA.
Burial Insurance
Permanent whole life coverage built for one job: making sure your funeral and final bills don't fall on your family. Your rate locks in for life and never increases. No medical exam, day-one coverage on most plans.
Optional add-on: Accidental death rider — guaranteed approval, no health questions

Term life covers you through the years your family depends on your income. Lock in your rate for 10 to 30 years — no exam needed for most healthy applicants.
How term life works →High earner maxing retirement accounts
IUL adds another tax-advantaged retirement bucket after you've filled up your 401(k) and Roth IRA. Not an investment — a long-term income strategy.
The complete IUL guide →55+ with no mortgage or dependents
Burial insurance is the straightforward answer. Rate locked for life, no medical exam, and your family isn't left with a $12,000 funeral bill.

Do you sell Medicare or health insurance?
No. Legacy Insurance Group focuses on life insurance — burial, term, IUL, and children's whole life. For Medicare or health plans, I can refer you to a specialist. Sticking to one thing means we do it well.
Are you a captive agent for one carrier?
No — we're completely independent. We're appointed with 15+ carriers including Mutual of Omaha, AIG/Corebridge, Gerber Life, American Amicable, Liberty Bankers, Protective, Ameritas, Baltimore Life, Combined (Chubb), CICA, and others. We compare live rates from each and bring you the best fit. No carrier pays us to push their product.
Do you serve clients outside Oregon?
Yes. Gilbert is licensed in 30+ states. We serve families across the western U.S. through phone, video, and email. If you're in Oregon, you can also meet in person at the Woodburn office by appointment.
Which product is right for my situation?
It depends on your life stage. New parents or grandparents → children's whole life. Working families with a mortgage → term life. Higher earners who already max 401(k)/Roth → IUL. Seniors 55+ with no mortgage → burial insurance. Still not sure? Call 971-444-6449 and I'll tell you in 5 minutes.
Can I combine multiple products?
Absolutely — and many families do. A common combo is term life (to cover the mortgage years) plus burial insurance (so your family doesn't get a funeral bill later). Another is children's whole life for the kids plus term for yourself. We build around your situation, not a one-size-fits-all package.
What if I'm not sure which product to pick?
That's exactly what we're here for. Call or text 971-444-6449 and we'll ask a few questions about your age, family situation, and budget. Most people figure it out in one conversation — no obligation, no commitment until you sign.
